I’m Pete Mawhinney. I’ve immersed myself in three platform shifts over the last four decades. The Dossier Report is my deep dive into the fourth.
As a teenager in the early 1980s I caught a bus to an electronics shop to teach myself programming on home PCs, before anyone knew what they were for. Around the release of Netscape 3, mid-1990s, I committed to a career building websites because the internet was obviously going to be a thing. In 2016 the Bitcoin bull run pulled me into crypto, and I have been watching and trading the markets since.
AI is the next wave, and that is what this product is built on. The Dossier Report uses AI agents to surface emerging trends, narrative shifts, and content angles, starting in fintech and crypto. Output is sourced to primary material, free of editorial spin, and held to strict standards.
I answer to readers and customers, not investors. There’s no growth team, no content team, no “ecosystem.” It’s just me. The product gets all my attention, and my intention is to build something that is useful to its users, something that lasts.
What this is
A free weekly brief that surfaces emerging trends, narrative shifts, and content angles in fintech and crypto. A paid tier carries more of the same, for readers who want a fuller picture. Same editorial standard across both.
See the product page for exactly what’s in a signal and how to read it.
How this is built
A pipeline does the unglamorous work: gathering the raw material, clearing out the noise and duplication, grouping what’s related, ranking what matters, and tracing each signal back to its source. A human editor does the work that has to be human: selection, framing, calibration, the final read. The pipeline runs on AI automation, but it is not the product; the product is what an editor lets through.
